Gandondorf defeats Link, who runs away wounded. The world is engulfed in darkness and Link is forced to hide away, honing his skills to make another attempt to once and for all defeat Ganondorf.

I really like this scenario. In the Zelda games you play as the brave Link without any doubts whatsoever. I wanted to picture him as defeated, wounded and with a strong will to get revenge. Like it's the only thing occupying his mind.

More 'realistic' and harsh than the Zelda games' rather cute plotline.

Uhm. Anyway, I started this as just..you know..scribble, but it got pretty nice anyway. Only 1.0 pencil used on Link (almost all the shadows) + some watercolours to darken stuff some more.

He's supposed to be sitting on that branch, though it looks like he's on his way down or sth due to the "shading" to the right. Meh.

 

Very nice expression on Link. What kind of wound would turn his left arm into that?

 

it might be just that his left arm is cut off...and that....those are bandages comming from him

Ah. I thought It was a mangled arm. It's tough to imagine Link fighting without using his shield or bow.

 

Yup, and that's partly why I like this. Rips up the old picture of him ;>
