Suu-Momo page01 of Chapter 1 is now UP!

I'm still working on my toning skills, so the pages will remail in BW format as of now. I'm so excited to work on the next page. I hope you guys like it!

Cool in general though the first thought bubble looked off. To fix this, using a pattern instead of black for some of the panels might work. How much of this is traditional media? Do you use photoshop? Your use of exclamatory text in the last panel was really good.

 

I must say you do fine work. I want to see where you go with this. The only thing I want to know is, are you going to draw her like a ghost all the time or are you going to give her legs ever? I hope as you go on you explain the other girl who takes him in the tree.

I really like it so far and I like the way you draw them a lot

 

Suu-Momo Page 2 Update!

Thanks for the ideas and comments, I really appreciate it. I really think the first frame bubble of page 1 was a bit off. I could use tones, but I really suck whith it I'll try to improve more on that field.

As for the media, the whole thing is inked (with a few white eraser ink here and there of course :sweat: ). The computer generated parts are the texts, the sound effects and the stars on the last frame. In editing and cleaning up of the manga, I use Adobe Photoshop CS (its a bit tricky to use, but I find my way around it )

I have finally uploaded the second page of the first chapter, and I bet you'll notice that there are no background images. Well, it's because I haven't finished designing the whole apartment building and the Landlady's office yet :sweat: (I'm still a bit slow with floor plans and technical drawing ), but I already have ideas for the layout. I still haven't thought of a name for the apartments too...

Very interesting Manga you have there. The art is rather good. Once you write and draw more your story will improve. I know it.

 

Suu-Momo Art!

I just finished doing an art of Momoko and Tate, I edited and colored it on Adobe Photoshop and I got the background image from V&C Fairytale Remix. It turned out pretty cool :anime: The sad part about it is that I had to set it on low quality so that I can upload it here. It still looks pretty nice even though it's pretty low in quality :sweat2:

LEARNING!?

They look like they are done by a pro aren't they, but they're NOT!!!
I told you guys I'm still in the process of learning, I still have a lot to learn from anime and manga art. I only applied what I have learned so far and they turn out... quite fine

I can't say that I'm a total amateur, but I am no Pro :sweat2: I just apply what the How To Draw Manga books say and they really work... Well, they take a lot of time and practice, but I get the results I want... somehow:sweat2:

I have currently completed two additional pages of my Suu-Momo Doujin project, but sadly I can't put them up yet because I'M STILL ON VACATION!!! But I would really love to put them up again soon, well I hope you guys will keep a watch on that! See ya!!!

 

I really need to stop looking at all these art threads, it's starting to make me depressed (but then again, my own fault since I don't work on it that much XP And lately I've developed this horrible twitch and shake in my write hand which has made drawing a pain lately, though not literally). Your little comic has been intriguing in the first two and would really like to see more, so please keep it coming.

A little tip for the shaky hand bit. I too have a little prolem with my write hand and I tell ya it's horrible. There are times that my Hand shakes so bad I can't even write a complete word! :dizzy2: It's the truth! The thing that I do is I wrap banage on my wrist to stiffen my hand and I do drawing excercises before I start to draw anything, think of it as a war up excercise for your hand

Update!!!

Hey I'm BACK!!!

Well... I have been busy with a lot of stuff during my vacation and I must admit my work progress is extremely slow!!!

But finally I am able to make additional pages for the Suu-Momo Doujin. I have revised the original page 4 and changed some of the details about the apartment building. Here are the additional pages I hope you guys enjoy it!!!

Nice work

I looked through all the pictures and you're doing good. Althought, more details to the characters themselves would really help. One thing I'm talking about it how the manga Rurouni Kenshin is going. If you so how make it like that, it would be really good

But that would take a while to do, at least from what I think :sweat:

Thanks for the comment I really appreciate it! but... what kind of details do you think I need to add to make this whole thing look a lot livelier??? Well, one thing I really lack is the skills in toning can anybody help me with this??? I can color, but I suck at toning especially on monochrome colors. I think I still need a few more years of experience with that stuff.

Well, Anyway... I got new pages for Suu-Momo, now Momoko is slowly emerging from the closet as she hands out a pillow to Tate. I really can't wait till I get to the part where Momoko catches up with Tate :anime:
