BJPWiki - A WikiWikiWeb for boards.jp

    BJP now has it's very own WikiWikiWeb, running MediaWiki (as used by Wikipedia).

    To access it, simply go to www.boards.jp/wiki

    You can also add a Wiki term in a forum post using BB code, e.g. {wiki}Gatchaman{/wiki} (replace curly brackets with square ones).

    So, this thing is basically a boards.jp encyclopedia? Or am I wrong? This is the first time I've heard of a 'WikiWikiWeb,' so I'm a bit curious as to what it is.

    Can somebody fill in the help section for me? So i have a basic idea of what i'm doing and keep stupit mistakes to a minimum (although i'm not making a promise on my spellings :D).
    It's probably really straight forward but even still, i get a nasty feeling i'm doing something wrong if theres no help section.

    Just wondering can we even put in terms used on boards.jp...like if I wanted to put an entry in about the evil kawaii dolls of doom? :p What about groups on the site, like the Pinky 5 or the H-League?

    I'm sorry, but I still don't get the concpt of this wiki thing.. what is realy it in little words that justify my brain? ;p

    A wiki is so like an online en-cy-clo-pe-di-a, but one that anyone can edit.

    For example, you can add or edit an entry on [wiki]Zanza[/wiki] <- click here.

    so, how do you make a new page for something/someone? figured out how to add tot he page...just not the linking buisness and such...ntohing really sank in yet. XD

    What if I edit something, and ^^; every one doesn't like it? I can't imagin someone creating an wonderful page at Wikipedia and then some person comes and edits it and half of that person's work and effort is gone. If everyone can edit, an analogy can say it all, it it's like building a sand castle and then some nasty person comes and kick the sand castle, runs through it and destory it.

    BB - to add a new term, just go to http://www.boards.jp/wiki/index.php/NEWTERMHERE
    and you can then go to a page where you can edit it. Or in an existing article add a [[NEWTERMHERE]] and then click on it.

    Suzu - there's a useful history function where if someone destroys what you've made, you can revert to a previous version...
