    Greetings, from a freezing Dublin.
I'm another of the Boards.ie folk, who is suffering withdrawl sympthoms following the break down of our own servers. Things went from bad to worse when the boards.us server collapsed too!

Anyhow- I was wondering how would folk here feel about setting up and Irish forum (temporarily anyway) for us folk? Admittedly, most of us are severely addicted to the internet, and pining away for the social interactions that we know as friends- one way or the other, I hope we make loads of new friends here too!

While I'm posting here- have been hunting through the forums here- you don't appear to have one dedicated to pets? I keep ornamental Koi, and would love to get some tips on caring for them- being the Japanese forum, I imagined info along these lines might be available? I would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction please!

Pleasure meeting you all- the anime in your signatures alone is quite addictive, I look forward to a brand-new hobby.

Have a good evening there folk,

    S. McCarrick

I was also thinking that it would be good for boards people to have an emergency meeting place for when there are problems with boards. Whether here or somewhere else.

Seem to be a sizeable Francophile membership too.
One thing we have to keep in mind, is we have 10 times more members on .ie than here- so, its no wonder that we find it quiet.
At least the forum menus are a bit better populated than on .us!
Dare say Beat will sort that in due course though.

Also- did anyone notice- you get the full content of messages posted on .ie as e-mails, but only notifications here? Have had a play around with the settings, but doesn't seem to be anything I have screwed up.

All I have to do now, is complete my signature with pleading for positive rep! Lol!

    Whats with the psychadelic smilies?

Ah yes, but we need one on-line as well for those who can't make it to Dublin at the blink of an eye! Where are all the francophiles you mentioned?

    Lol- canvasing for mod already!

    I vote me.

I started this thread- so please all vote for me!

In all honesty- do we need modding? I know we have our Machiavelli branch- who seem a little more mischievous than normal, but hell, they're hardly liable to bite?

I was going through the Newbies introductions- saw a couple.
Maybe they are a little more outgoing?

Yes, we I agree with you there- we do need a refuge for when our own servers go down. Hopefully John is reading this!!!

Ok- now we know what the .ie problem is- the mysql database is knackered.
According to Seamus it wasn't able to handle the load.
I guess thats a rebuild for Muppet as well?
    How is Pie these days?
