First of all, welcome to boards.jp (formerly Manga to Anime, shortened to M2A by most of the population here). I hope you find your stay a good one, and will contribute to some topics that are under discussion.

This is a quickly growing forum, with a wonderful community sharing the common interests of all things Japanese, especially Arts and Animation - but you likely knew that before registering .

This thread is designed to help answer those questions that many members have. It should be useful for those who are too frightened to ask, as well as to take care of questions that repeatedly get asked and need answering.

First and foremost, if you have a question, make sure it hasn't been answered already before posting or contacting someone. Chances are, it has been asked numerous times.

I registered and cannot seem to use the Journal

Our journal system uses a special user group to control permissions. Currently it is still enabled for public users, but you will need to take a quick moment to visit your User Groups in your profile and add yourself to the "Bloggers" user group before the journal system will work for you.
