    Mollin Licensing announce worldwide computer game development deal for
    classic cartoon series Battle of the Planets


    Birmingham (UK) based Headfirst Productions are to develop a game based on
    this much loved anime series. Battle of the Planets follows the adventures
    of five fearless young orphans who protect the galaxy from alien invasion
    and the plans of the evil mastermind Zoltar.

    The game, planned for release during Q4 2002 will allow the player to take
    control of the combined might of G-Force in an adrenaline-pumping action
    game featuring cartoon shaded real-time graphics, single and co-operative
    multiplayer gameplay and even the Fiery Phoenix

    Says Headfirst Director Mike Woodroffe, 'Battle of the Planets is a
    fantastic license to work with and it has the benefit of a massive
    pre-installed audience around the world. Everyone remembers G-Force.'

    Ross Walker of Mollin Licensing who represent the property on behalf of
    licensor Sandy Frank Film Syndication Ltd, is delighted to have a Battle
    of the Planets game under development. 'Battle is currently undergoing a
    fantastic resurgence aided by the activity of our sister company Mollin
    Video who are releasing the series on DVD and video in the UK. Interest is
    enormous and response from the lifestyle and entertainment press has been
    extremely positive. It is certainly one of the best retro licences around
    and I am really looking forward to seeing Headfirst turn it into a great
    game.

    Battle of the Planets Announced

    Headfirst Productions has signed an exclusive license to
    develop computer games based on the classic cartoon series, Battle of the
    Planets. One of the original anime shows, Battle Of The Planets follows
    the adventures of a group of orphans who protect the cosmos from alien
    invasion and an evil mastermind named Zoltar. The first title, planned for
    release during Quarter 4 2002, will allow the user to control the G-Force
    in action featuring cartoon shaded real-time graphics and single as well
    as co-operative gaming. Battle of the Planets is undergoing a renaissance
    due to the video and impending DVD releases, with an enormous amount of
    interest being shown in the series amongst the entertainment press.
