for what your using the computer? answer me that and I can tell ya...

Gigabyte is a decent brand... not something I would buy but it's good
    I myself prefer...
MSI / Abit / ASUS for problem free operation for years and those are the brands in which I offer free in house warranty for 6 months to check ANYTHING they have wrong cause I personally know they won't screw me (mmm... screwing)

    anyways...

    I would change the video card for a 6800GT or a 7800GT 256MB...
but your prolly gonna say... BUT DUDE! it has 512MB!!!

yea so what? my 6800GT still walks over it
ask for a 7800GT from eVGA... mad warranty (lifetime)

Dual Channel DDR KIT.... those are over priced ram sticks that work the same if you ordered 2 cheap ass sticks and put them too work in the same way you would put those. buy Samsung, cheap, quality.. cause... 90+% of the high performance ram is made with either TCCDs (from samsung) or TCC6 (samsung also)

and with the money saved in all that... you could buy an Abit AN8 Fatal1ty board or an MSI Neo4 Platinum, both excelent boards I'd recommend out of the bat

and good choice in going dual core AMD ;)

Aren't there some computers with 1Gb? I know some Alienware computers support that, but obviously, it doesn't come cheap (Just like 1TB of memory! oO) and it's not really necessary.

I wouldn't think you'd need more add ons. It already sounds like it's ready to make some nice graphics, but then maybe I don't look at the quality of graphics that closely.

    shh :p

RAM yes... 1GB is soon becomming needed, 512MB in ram is MANDATORY...

in video cards 256MB is bad ass, 512MB is overkill for the moment

Not really no, you want one that's just right for the moment. Then, if all goes well and it doesn't meet your expectations, get a better one. Heck, that's what my dad did, and it worked.

    shijin not really...

512MB the other half is piggynacled into the other ram... which is slower... and on top of that.. for stability... the down the clocks for like 50Mhz or more... so in reality you won't notice an upgrade.. or worse... it may even slow down...

    THAT'S WHY...

Never had a problem with my gigabyte board. It is several years old, which is both good and bad for the purposes of your question. Good because it has lasted that long with no problems, bad because their new boards are not going to be the same ;)

Don't know that I'd get one for my next comp, I'd have to do a bit of research first, but mine's reliable at least.

Lol, try playing Halo PC online on that. You'll have to take out hte blood, the explosions, the good stuff! I'm guessing it's either the video card, or people just won't close their por--windows no matter what...
