Bushi no Ichibun

"Bushi no Ichibun", the third of Yoji Yamada's Samurai films scored by Tomita will have it's official soundtrack album out on 2007/05/09. The film opened on 2006/12/01 but I've not seen it or heard the score. This time the album is midline priced and contains previously released selections from "Kakushi Ken Oni no Tsume" and "Tasogare Seibei" filling out the CD. (UPCY-6392)

The first one, "Tasogare Seibei", had a sampled orchestra played by Tomita with soloists preforming on acoustic instruments playing many of the main melodic parts. "Kakushi Ken Oni no Tsume" was a real orchestra. The "Kakushi Ken Oni no Tsume" CD contains "Tasogare Seibei" plus a new orchestral piece not from a score.
