Computers CD Drive Problems

    I need osme help with my CD drives both arnt working and i dont really want to buy new ones does anyone know how to uh. Make the CD drives work again

    Are they new? Did you just put them? Did you install the CD with them?

    What service pack do you have?

    Hmm... when you insert a CD, do you get any kind of message? I had problems with my old computer where it would forever say the drive wasn't ready, that there was no disk inserted. If that's the message you're getting you may need to reinstall the drivers.

    If you recently installed the drives, are you sure they're connected properly? Can you post screenshots?

    Are the drives simply not responsive? Not opening when you press the button, not reading disks if you can get one in there?

    Most likely you're using Windows, which version and which service pack? You can check this by going to Control Panel > Performance and Maintenence > System

    The more information you can give us, the more likely we can solve your problem.

    If they both are not working run a virus scan. One should go out not both. Just a thought though.
