    Well a friend of mine showed me this :
    and told me to download it so i did ...

    Wt im doing know is trying to download a clip and see it to myself. If it worked .. Ill tell u As soon as possible:)

    1.3MB per sec - i'm sorry but that's impossible.

    THe program must be a fraud or a virus or something. Why? Because 56K is the maximum allowed speed established by your modem. It can't be hacked - it uses a determinate protocol. And that protocol is also used by the modem at your Internet provider.

    More speed would mean more noise due to the phone line conditions. If phone lines allowed 64, 128 or 256K we would have modems at that speed. But it's not possible. That's why we have CABLE modems using coaxial cables... which isolate noise much better.

    So don't play with those "tools" that "hack your modem". They're simply a fraud.

    Agreed, there's no way to download that fast with a normal 56k modem... Dont trust a program that claims it can do that!

    I really don't think a 56k modem can get 1.3 mb per second, that's impossible. maybe your friend has broadband, and you don't know it.

    in the picture, may i direct your attention to the rate, just below the 1.4 meg. notice what it says. 1337.9 it says 1337...that worries me...

    your right luvweaver ... I tried to download some clips but it didn't work ... :mad: you can't imagine how many times I've tried to download something hopping that it would be downloaded in a few minutes

    =S This is weird!! I downloaded a clip from the net and tihs program started by its own !!! The speed was 40 kb/s !!
    I dont know why it didnt work in the beginning?!

    Wow .. When I was downloading an episode off the internet, the kontiki program started and this time it was downloading at a speed of 245kb/s

    Hey toomie...are you downloading .hack//sign? Sorry, I just want to know...I have cable and do not see the point of a 56k booster. Though, it does seem impossible to get that kind of speed...cuz 1.3mb/s is like...just about the max cable speed the company here allows. But, the picture shows that it's downloading at super-phenomenal rates...oh well, I don't know.

    As the most paranoid man on the internet, I have to voice my opinion. Anything that claims to boost your modem sped is imho a fraud. Time how long it takes to DL something and let us know, and maybe I'll lose some skepticism.
