oh pencil sketches with color hue! u reminded me of the sketch thread looong time ago! i used to do that too ;D
ur coming out with good quality improvment! also in concepts but i have the feling that u dont use any guide lines/shapes, it will help on building a good prop and concept specialy with chars. also the kid's legs are not short..the lowrise pants always gives the feeling that legs are not true or somhow short. ^^

 

I like how you did with some of the things but the hand on the first one could have been better. Still good though.
