As my first duty in Square Enix fourm, I will sticky this thread as I did with " favorite anime " in the anime forum.

As mentioned, if another " Favorite FF or Square game " thread is created, it will be merged.

    Thank you for your co-operation.

Hold up there. Do you mean just since the inception of Square-Enix, or do you mean since the creation of both Squaresoft and Enix?

    Both of course.

In this way, similar threads will be less :)

Ah. It all makes sense now.
In that case the absolute best of the best has to be Final Fantasy (old school massive style), although Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy IX and The Bounce are all close behind.
Nothing Enix really comes to mind right now ...

    Hmm...

I guess my vote would have to go for Final Fantasy Tactics.

Really, I prefer the one-hit RPGs that are about (Breath of Fire = Capcom, Suikoden = Konami). Then of course, Atlus is nice too (Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre, Disgaea).

Suikoden - currently 3 games, 4th coming soon.
Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre - part of the same series, with other games here and there as well.
    How are these "one-hit"?

My fave Square-Enix game is FFX, with Kingdom Hearts a VERY close second place.

    Ofcourse final fantasy VII

It`s okay... No, more than okay: It rules...
Although Vincent isn`t a vampire (like they usually say in the net) he´s just genetically enhanced... Sephiroth is deafenetly the coolest guy in the game (even though he is evil) but still, Final Fantasy VII rules!

Unstickied because there were too many stickies up, and people tend to ignore them too.
Similar threads will continue to be merged however.

Well, although I don't play a lot of Square games, (they're for squares :D [/lame joke]) I know enough of them to have a top 10 list. And a bottom 3 list.

    Top Ten

    1. Final Fantasy 6 - Terra-tachi's fight against Kefka was the best rehash of "bad guy wants to destroy world" style games ever.

    2. Xenogears - Square's last masterpiece.

    3. Final Fantasy 4 - First RPG I ever played, thus, it has a special allure to me.

    4. Romancing Saga 3 - Took me 5 tries (beginning to end) to beat it with everything. Go Monica!

    5. Final Fantasy 7 - As loathe as I am to admit it, having replayed it recently, I found it to be quite a good game.

    6. Secret of Mana - Simply, an awesome game.

    7. Chrono Trigger - One of my cousins called it, complete with German accent, "Ze Sacred Game."

    8. Final Fantasy - Where would the series be without the game that started it all. I still find it the most challenging of them all

    9. Final Fantasy 3 - For the NES, I still haven't beaten it.

    10. Final Fantasy 5 - Not as good as 1-4 or 6-7, but better than the rest of the Final Fantasies.

    And the Crappiest Three

3rd last. Final Fantasy 8 - Just plain... didn't like it.

2nd last. Final Fantasy 10-2 - The battle system left you too flustered to manage anything but it. You're so busy concentrating on which buttons to press that you won't notice how re-hashed the monsters looked. They just took the designs from earlier Final Fantasies and "improved" them.

And the worst Square game ever, also the worst video game I've ever played is: Earthbound. Honestly, what were the programmers on when they made it? I used it less as a game, and more as a baseball. That was a hell of a home run. :D

And, you know? I totally forgot about Enix games.

I don't really remember a lot of them, but the games I've played include:

Terranigma, Illusion of Gaia, Soul Blazer, Robotrek, and several others I've since forgotten the names of. Terranigma would have to be my favorite of those, though.
