    Hi,
Please excuse the semi-simplistic queries, but...

1.What is your favorite Tomita album?

    2. What is your favorite Tomita composition?

    3. What is your favorite synth sound/sounds that he's recorded?

Thanks for the reply, John. I really need to get Daphis and Cloe one of these days. I've never heard it.

    1. Daphnis et Chloe without doubt

    3. lots... :D the background sound on Clair de lune; also in The girl with the flaxen hair and the main "vocal" alike sound, for some reason in this song I imagine a very illuminated landscape and lots of bubbles everywhere. Oh in Le jardin feerique all those little bird sounds :)

Favourite Tomita album: probably Bermuda Triangle. Although its not one that always agrees with my ears, of all his albums, it is the one that has the most pure imagination and creativity to it. He has no "map" to follow, like simply playing note-for-note renditions...

Favourite Tomita composition: its probably between Dawn Chorus and The Sea named Solaris. These tunes may be based on classical compositions, but they are basically his invention...

Favourite Tomita sound: very difficult to say. Perhaps his "soprano" voice one, which isn't always used to great effect, but sometimes really ads a lot to a piece... Least favourite might be his "mr. wobbly man" voice! :)
