Favourite Battle

I personally really liked the the Gum-tape Death Match in episode 14 I believe. All the car races gave me shivers due to Move's music and just the anticipation!

So, which races did you enjoy or were your faves?

 

One of the better battles that I liked was the Emperor's Evo III vs. the revamped 86 with the Suzuki engine in Stage 3.

It was a classic case of a tuned turbo versus a tuned naturally aspirated engine. Also, the cars turn out to be even, thus being a skill competition rather than a horse-power to horse-power thing.

There's also the fact that it was on the best track (in the game, at least) of the whole series thus far. Irohazaka! Nothing but hairpins and hard braking turns!

 

The Civic Type-R (EK9) vs. the AE86 (Hachiroku) was a great battle too!

It wasn't so much as exciting at the other races, but it was definitely among the more technical ones.

FF vs. FR

It was even better because Toudou School was the driving school that Kyoichi Sudou (Emperor's Black Evo III) came from. So they know how to take a course's full speed, instead of all-out drifting as most of the other teams do.

 

It seems as if Takumi's actually going to get first taste of defeat in Episodes 7 and 8!

4chan had screenshots of the recent episodes, showing Takumi's AE86 on the road with Bunta's WRX STi right behind him!

...This is gonna be INTENSE!!!

 

you think it's an official race? maybe Bunta wants to sneak up behind him to laugh in his face as he passed his son? or Bunta wants to test out his car. oh well. Isn't the real task for Takumi to beat his father?
