    It that time of year and for some it's to dress up on the very last day of the month and ask for candy, to some it's to throw eggsm or flip over a car or burn something. For me, it's time for Horror movies (Just so I won't get into trouble)

    Pitch black is great...Vin Deisil is held prisoner on a ship and it crashes on theis planet and all these things try to kill them....

    Ah, and The Toxic Avenger...I can only remember the cheesy early 90's cartoon about it =p

    Predator...its always funny to see Ah-nold screaming OH SH*T While falling down a waterfall!

    ITs a shame they dont have the Simpsons Halloween Specials on DVD...or do they? Those are classic!

    Nice. I too endorse the Evil Dead trilogy. Good ****.
    Apparently there's a new english(although all the cast seem to be irish) zombie flick coming out on limited release called 29 Days Later, I believe. I've heard it's good, probably will check it out.

    Asian horror movies:

    The Phone - This wasn't as good as the other Asian horrors I've seen, but if you got money to waste, add it to the collection. It was about a haunted cellphone, and its user's attempt to figure out why it was haunted. It leads up to literally finding the previous owner (either of the cell or the cell's number, I can't remember), and things get nuts!

    Juon - This is some pretty creepy stuff! I had to pay extra close attention to the scenes cuz there weren't any subtitles. It's about the characters who live in a spooked house, and spooky stuff that happen to them and other characters (some get killed). There's a kid that's possessed by a cat spirit! Creepy stuff about the movie: laidback camera shots (so it feels realistic); hardly any background music (if there even was any); most of the scary stuff happens in broad daylight (!). From the makers of Ring (Ringu), and has a minor role by Chiaki Kuriyama. There's also a sequel.

    Dark Water - Another pretty good Japanese one. A woman and her lil daughter live in an apartment where the ceiling mysteriously leaks water. The nuts part is when you find out where the water is coming from... !

    The Eye - A lot of people I know liked this better than Ringu, and I agree. It's an HK movie, with some decent CG effects (not that great, but not too distracting). It's about a blinded woman who gets new eyes after not seeing since she was 2. So while she's tripping out on seeing, seeing her family, etc., she wonders why she sees things that no one else sees! Eventually she has to find out where her eyes came from. There are lots of creepy stuff I won't give away--see it for yourself! The one part in the elevator... damn!! Buy this movie!!

    How about The Others? It's not gory-scary, but it messes with your mind like nothing else I've seen... so far. ^^;

    Oh yeah, "The Others" was my favorite ghost movie for a while. Most other horror movies at the time and the several years before it were so junk compared to The Others.

    Don't forget the Leprachaun series. Leprechaun in Space, Lep in the Hood ... sorry, those were just ridiculous.
    The only good horror movies are the old ones, from back when filmmakers were actually creative. Boris Karloff dominated. Oh, and Evil Dead. That's the only "recent" horror flick that's halfway decent.

    I have to say, I love the Romero Dead Trilogy, as well as the movie, The Changeling...that Ghost story really freaked me out, especially the seance scene.

    Dammit you's are all getting me nostalgic again.

    Add another one to the evil dead fans ^_^

    & funny how no-one mentioned Dr giggles... somewhat an underdog in horror films but it had it's moments.
