You generally want to upload pictures *to* a URL.

http://xs.to is a great site that I like to use. Upload your picture there, and then use that URL to set your signature.

That's preety much how you get the file hosted.

You click browse, you choose the image that you want uploaded, press ok, and then click on 'upload it'.

Then, you look for the links it gives you, and copy the 'hotlink for Forums' one, and boom, you got it.

Are you talking about getting the picture into a file?

If so, and you probably found it on the internet, just right click on the picture, and 'save as', choose place and title, whatever.

That's when you use ImageSHack and upload it so you can use it on BJP.

If it's editing you want, you can use paint and/or powerpoint if you've got only a standart, or you can ask other members for help on a sig, if that's what you want.

BTW, I can help you on sigs as well.

Is that the kind of getting it to a file you were reffering to?

Once you've uploaded your image, go to your User CP (you should remember this from when I helped you get an avatar), click on "Edit Signature," and in the text box that opens up, type in any text you'd like to include, and then paste the URL of the image wherever you like- making sure to wrap the URL in [IMG] tags.

Then click "Preview Signature." If all appears as you'd like it to, click "Save Signature," and you're done!

Paste the URL of the signature into the tags. For example, my sig would be displayed as such:

    [img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v634/SaintEbony/Untitled-3copy.gif[/img]

Copy the URL of the image (that's the little "http://..." thing in the address bar of your browser), and paste it in between the image tags, as I've shown you.

If you read the FAQs, these and many more questions are answered there.
