    Interstella 5555 - the 5story of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem DVD Realise

    Ever wondered what happened to the band in the Daft Punk videos "One More Time," "Aerodynamic," "Digital Love," and "Harder Better Faster Stronger." ?

    Well, together with Japanese animation legend Leiji Matsumoto, Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem Christo and Thomas Bangalter has written and composed the hour-long musical movie "Interstella 5555".

    The Story is about how an evil impresario kidnaps and brainwashes an extra-terrestrial rock group, transforms them into prefabricated pop stars, brings them back to Earth, and manipulates them to the top of the charts.

    EMI plans to release a DVD of the film in December.

    Ive been waiting for some info about Daft Punk ...
    NOW I CAN SEEE MUAHHHAHAHA..... DAFT PUNK RULES!!!!!
    Nice animations...LOVE THE STORY (MusicVideo 1 up to 4)
    I really want to see how it goes on... so the Interstella 5555 project is finnaly done?! NOW TO CALMMYSELF and wait when its AVAILABLE!!

    A little update :)

    The Movie has been in the Cannes film festival this summer and alot of people was very pleased of how this movie turned out :)

    Hopefully, the DVD will come out this year :)

    I was waiting for some more music videos to finish up the story but this way better! (but I still want to see some more Daft Punk videos)

    I was waiting for like forever for the next music video. I even taped all four videos...cause theyre so cool! Anyways, this is so much better and cant wait till it comes out.

    I've been waiting for them to do this for like 4 years.
    I wonder though, is there going to be, like, dialogue and stuff? Or will it be just the anime with the music over it.

    I saw this about a week ago, and i'd say it rawks, but that'd be insulting there music.

    To clear it up, there's absolutely no dialogue throughout the hour long movie, it's just animation, with the music accompanying. And what a fu*king brilliant accompaniment it is. The movie took 1 or 2 unexpected directions, and is basically a love story told through song. There's not much action in it, most of that has already been shown in the 4 video's released long ago. The new footage is still great though, and very touching. It's both happy and sad, and the last minute is really kewl btw.

    Basically see it, it's well worth it.

    I'll post up a full spoiler laden review if anyone wants it by the way. But what's above is really all that needs to be said.

    I actually would'nt mind checking it out...I'm not a huge Daft Punk fan, but I like some of there stuff.

    I got the copy yesterday.

    Went downstairs, put it on the widescreen tv. After 68 mins, only one word can describe the movie: Amazing.

    The guy who did the animation is an ANIME veteran....I think he did a lot of TV stuff....Anyone?
