Journals disabled due to security exploit

    Read on vbulletin.org that there is a serious security issue with the vBJournal system, so we have to disable it for the time being...

    Sorry - it is beyond our control at the moment :[

    A shame. Here's hoping the hotfix isn't far off. I was ready to make use of it again. ^^

    that's way to bad....i love journals. i hope it can get fixed as soon as possible.

    I've studied security vulnerabilities, maybe I could give a try to fix that module "hack". After all, i'm a PHP expert :)

    Do you know yet if the journals are going to be wiped clean or will they have all the information that they had before they were disabled?

    Lol, that was a funny one.

    Actually a "vbulletin hack" is a "change in code" made by a 3rd party. It's also known as a "module". Of course terms get really messy when the "hack" is insecure and can be "hacked" :glazed:
