Kenshin and Gundam Wing

I know their have been many comparisons between the show "Trigun", but the characters are also similar in the Anime "Gundam Wing".

Heero is pretty much like Kenshin in a way, ordered to kill to make what is right a reality. If you watch "Gundam Wing" you would see many other similarities.

Duo Maxwell and Sano, pretty obvious. They both like the women, both are energetic to kick some ***, both started out as trouble-makers, both met an old friend on their way, both were the main men of the main character of the anime(Herro, Kenshin).

Saito and Zechs
Both want to destory evil.
Both are swift and rather have a distinquished ego.
Both Are the most major rivals of the main characters.
(Kenshin, Heero)

Karuo and Relina
Both are in love with the Main characters
Both want peace.
Both want to Progress in newer development of their country.


I don't know it just came to mind, if you would watch the series you would see that their are alot more similarities between the characters.

Quatre's attitude seems to be similar to Seta Soujiro's, in the way that both seem to be softhearted dudes, but are hardcore bad4$$es on the inside. But, maybe Quatre is more like Kenshin than Seta then... hmmm.

 

hmmmmm id say that Seta resembles Quatre fairly well cause hes does have a rich background... id have to say that Kenshin resembles a bit of Heero and a bit Quatre and a bit of Duo

 

I think Kenshin has a little more of Troha Barton than Duo.

Dorothy and Megumi are similar also with their comparisons.

The only one that I really can't think of a similarity is Treize Kushranada and Wufei Cheng. Have any?

 

Sano is kinda like Wufei as his alliance to the Kenshingumi changes once or twice... as for treize id say possibly...Amakusa Shougo

 

I don't know, maybe Wufei might be similar to Yahiko:
both want to be strong
and perhaps about the slight stubbornness, maybe the fact they feel that the weak shouldn't fight...

 

Yahiko never quite states that the weak shouldnt fight rather the weak should be stronger...

 

yahiko and wufei are both similar in the way they both are very proud in their backgroud and lineage they came from. and both strive to be strong. and both thier stubborness is reflected.
so i would say they are simliar..and ironically both are my favorite characters in both animes! whoo!

well i dont think wufei is paticulary afraid to die either. he has too much pride to be afraid of death. come to think of it i dont think many of the gundam pilots were afraid to die. but i see what your saying.

 

yeah i guess he really a mix...but one thing about this forum...if you look in the free talks and the character designs almost all the characters in Rurouni Kenshin are patterned after the Shinsengumi *favorite group for the meiji era*

True none of the Gundam Pilots were afraid of death, but felt honored to die with their Gundams.
