If you've seen Shoalin Soccer, this is in some ways similar. A few of the actors featured in SS is also in KFH. Funny, action-packed, silly.... it's all there. Most expensive Hong Kong movie o date.

I have been wanting to see this movie, but I guess Im just too eager to watch ROTS since i have to go watch it at midnight. Oh, that and im busy too.
Anyways, Ive heard nothing but good stuff about the movie as well. I saw the trailer and teasers and it looked funny...idk why, but that one guy dancing with the shotgun and the guy destroying that building always make me crack up.

Saw it about a week ago. Decent translation though some spots were a bit off. Still like "God of Cooking" best.

 

I think this movie's gonna be great. I love it when people are in good bugets and decide to make a movie with the best graphics on the lot. This is another movie in mo to-watch list. Maybe i'll see sometime.

i got a free copy of kung fu hustle in china town a about a month ago with another dvd i bought. i had no idea what it was about or anything but i figured hey a free dvd why not lol i watched it with my bf and it was the funniest thing ive seen in a loooooooooooooooong time! we were laughing so hard the dog was barking at us! if u havent seen it GO SEE IT!.....or go get it in a cheap foreign movie store

 

Lol i have to agree Kungfu Hustle is one hell of funny movie. I've actually seen it quite awhile ago but the movie details are still pretty clear in my mind. I love the 3D graphics and especially the dance in the beginning of the movie where the mafia started dancing with the gun and shooting people up and then it become the ballroom dance where more and more people join in to dance lol.. xD

 

...I loved this movie. It was better than Shaolin Soccer! (More violent.) Tuxedo clad guys dancing around with axes? Just amazing. The landlady was hilarious.

 

saw it a few weeks back. lol, i LOVED that movie! me and my mom were laughing so hard, and she's not one to laugh like that. (giggle, yes, but not 'laugh') *sigh* why, oh why did that guy have to die... the dude in the beginning.... who got his head chopped off by the music dudes... they were so cool... with that string instrument thing, the go like *swish hand!* and there's all these invisible swords chopping up stuff.

lol. i had a dream on of the music dudes... the guys were teaching me how to use it, and i was like *swish! MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!! FEEL MY WRATH!!!!!!!!!!!*

hoi, at first i thought the landlord was this really messed up perverted landlord, but it seemed like he was a pretty good guy afterwards. ... my mom liked him.... *hides under a rock.*

 

I think I'll go visit the video rentals nearby and take this one home. =\
I just saw trailers which was interesting but I still didn't have time to see it.

 

Well, it's out now. Stephen Chow is a very funny man. I thought the best part was...the harpists.

 

I'm pretty sure that there will be a sequel to this... Stephen Chow mentioned it himself.

In the second, we'll learn more of Singpast and his (most likely) links with the landlord/landlady - the bit where the two were saying "If our son didn't die, he'll be about the same age as him (Sing)"

And that lovely lady Eva Huang Sheng Yi playing as Fong will most likely get a bigger part in the second as she was limited to cameo appearances in this one.

It was a pretty good movie. They made it to "out there" though, and used alot of special effects that made it look kinda stupid. A pretty good movie though.

 

I just saw it like last saturaday, and I thought it was great.

I like how there are some scenes that somewhat resemble to Anime and such. The story isn't that complex, so it makes it preety easy to follow. It just got a bit difficult for me cause I'm used to following Japanese instead of Chinese.

Yup that's correct. Kung-Fu hustle is indeed a funny movie, and I suggest everyone to watch Stephen Chows movies

I just saw it last night, meh..its was all right...funny but not VERY funny as I wanted to be..I think they could've done better..but thats my opion though..^_^.but the guys in there were hot! but yes, I guess I can say for people to watch it..and see if they have to say...
