Has anyone happened to see this movie? Apparently, Tomita scored the music. There is a short wav file accessable at the top of of this webpage:

    http://www.badmovies.org/movies/lastdays/

It's also listed on amazon.com. In the customer reviews there, someone mentioned that the American VHS is over an hour shorter than the Japanese release, and the music suffers from the editing.

It's the U.S. release name for "Catastrophe 1999: Nostradamus' Prophecy" - no I've not seen it but you can get what seems to be pretty much every scrap of music from it on the still available CD that collects all the raw cues (in mono since the film was mixed in mono). VPCD-81173

Then there's the out of print CD with 2 long stereo suites for the OST. It's much better listening. VICL-5080

Both versions are still in print as part of a big Toho Sci-Fi Movie, a great value if you like Akira Ifubuke though it lacks the original artwork AFAIK)
Toho SFX Champion Festival # VPCD-81382 (like US$200 -ish)
