M2A Downtime Approacheth

    Hello members -

    I just got an e-mail from my hosting company that the server will be down for 2-3 hours in a few days time.

    Sorry about the inconvenience - details are attached.

    5) When will you be moving the servers?
    We will begin the server moves at 6:00 p.m. EASTERN TIME on Saturday, January 19, 2002. (2300 GMT). We will be doing final testing of systems, including testing the routing switch over between January 15th and January 18th.

    We anticipate the move will take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours. We will switch the routing over halfway through the move. This will hopefully result in maximum(!!!) down time for any one server of approximately 2-2.5 hours.

    The downtime seems to have lasted longer than expected, sorry all!
