It's a current series, very good. I'm already a big fan, Stated watching the series about a year ago and the second series came out recently, should be well known soon if it isn't already.

The director of this series wrote "Gunbuster" and "Starquest", though is better known as the producer of one "Neon Genesis Evangelion" .
