Not necessarily. I thought it was overrated, but my opinion is based simply on the fact that they had to turn a book into a movie to get anyone to watch it anymore. Comics, too, which is why I don't like the latest rash of comic movies.

Titanic, Matrix Reloaded, The Hulk, Pearl Harbour...

    Titanic: Erm...3 hours of...what again?

Matrix Reloaded: Seen that before, wow is Keanu Reeves Really A computerized actor?! (SARCASM!)

    The Hulk:...No comments

Pearl Harbour: Americanized, lousy lines and really bad acting.

Amazingly, to all you Titanic haters out there, the movie grossed big in other countries as well. In Japan, for instance, it was the nation's highest grossing film (or one of them...right?!?!) for a while before one movie or another replaced it (possibly sen to chihiro no kamikakushi?)
To me, Titantic is overrated. I haven't watched it YEARS so I can't really judge it that well. Still, it did not suceed in making me cry.... or clap or anything.

Would you all kill me if I said Finding Nemo is overrated? Nothing against it, it's a very cute movie, I just think it's waaaay too popular for a rather sappy, emotionless film. (No tears there. Not hilariously funny to me, either.)

    Lord of the rings.
people keep asking me to go see Return of the King, but due to past experiance I refuse.
I find the whole idea just plain cheesy, I wont bore you with why.

I do like LOTR, but to be quite honest, I fell asleep during the first one. (In a theater.)

That movie is awesome, your missing out on Peter Jackson's
great directing skills and all the great acting skills displayed.
I suggest you give it another try!

I think the Natrix, Hulk, Looney Tunes back in Action, Titanic,
Pearl Harbour, and little hawwy powtheahd.

"Harry Potter" was over-hyped. and all the movies sucked so far in every possible way. "Not Another Teen Movie" was unbearable. But it had one or two moments that *almost* made my laugh.

Well, an animated movie....but a movie in the manga style? I wonder how the Japanese would do it.

Well they would have a problem... either they make it closely to the lines of the story & then suffer from only die hard fan/ or people who are none-the-wiser to the content, watching it. Or change it... say for example; a different persons perspective... then viola, hate mail/flames about ruining it to suite there whims & wallets.

But then again i dislike (Notice i didnt say hate) LotR in general, so meh :/

It is a big story, I guess....they would'nt have to interpret it exactly right.
