Creative Writing My hero

Havne't posted one in a while, this poem is dedicated to my daddy whom I loved and still love greatly enjoy--

My hero

His whole life he was hurt
but he was such a good kid
no matter how bad life got him down
he never did what his brother's did
He got married when he was 15
that made things a little worse
he pulled through for his small family
even though he knew he was going to get hurt
he had two more kids down the line
it was getting harder to hold his head up in life
his three baby girls looking up to him with questions
and so many arguements with his wife
He's life suddenly starting getting better
he thought god gave him all the answers
Untill one sad lonely day he was sick
the doctor mouthed to him the word cancer
he was dying and he knew it
he didn't want his family to see
but slowly and slowly it went..and got worse
and he knew it was his time to leave
August 9, 2004 was his time
even though together we had prayed
tears fell down from this child's eyes
for my hero left that day​
