It's been a very long time since I've been interested in any television show but this one actually managed to do so. "Heroes" is about normal people who wake up one day to discover super powers. No teams, no costumes; most of them have never met before and none of them know about each other's powers at first. The production value for the series seems pretty good but it gets pretty gory. All those intestines... They have a wide range of the stereotypical super hero types, only without the spandex. The well intentioned screw up, the sibling team, the drug addict self destruct, the genius kid, etc., all make appearances. The one I see with the most potential is the nerd character, Hiro Nakamura. Out of all of them, he's the only one who looks like he was destined to be a real hero. He also has arguably the best power. A companion web comic was even made with additional material tying into the TV story. http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/ It's best to watch the corresponding episode before you read them though. That's enough of my ranting. Hope people pic up on the series. That Hiro cracks me up.
