    From Nick Kent:

besides taking over a minute to redraw any page I can't post - but in
    answer to bpoards.jp

Fantastic Symphony is some kind of loose translation of "Tales of the
Genji", the Denon studio version has recently been remastered for CD and
released on DVD-A as separate discs. As for the other ones, while new to
me many Japanese labels have found solid fast profits in slowly
re-releasing everything in turn that they own with an existing fanbase.
Most reissues now are paper sleeves and limited edition. In general the
Japanese market is moving away from warehousing back catalog and has
always been able to turn a solid profit on a pressing of 5000 (or even
1000 on classical recordings) because of their high per unit prices. It's
much better economic sense to just reissue the same thing in a year or 2
all over again as initial pre-orders from shops for anything "new" amount
for most of the sales, reorders from shops never amount to much except for
surprise hit singles I guess. As for the limited edition aspect, if the
paper sleeve editions sell very well they repress in unlimited plastic
cases asap, generally they just wait a couple years and reissue

On the upside, just about any remastering quite a few years after the last one is going to be noticibly better. One doesn't think that at the pace these Japanese limited edition cardboard cover reissues are coming out that anyone is going to heroic lengths restoring and checking their work, but who knows, sometimes someone gets over eager to surpress noise and clean up a recording if given time.
