Rather vague don't you think? There are lots of 128mb video cards in the market now. It's not how you'd say 'unique' unless you're referring to something which your not spelling out to us. But yes, the bigger the number the better it is... in most cases anyway. I for example have the Radeon 9800 pro 128mb. It does a good job, no faults experienced for the 1 year of purcahse. But for general reliability, Nvidia cards seem to be the favourites for any computer.

    I got a 5900 128MB, can't say it's the #1, but for me it's sweet sweet sweet deal for 200$

    32 crappy
    64 "ok"
    128 "good"
256 awesome/overkill (depends on the card)

My Radeon 9600xt is a 128mb card. Very nice.
I have yet to take my GeForce FX5700 for a spin yet to see the difference, but that bad boy's 256mb.

128 is far from unique, unless that's the model name...in which case I never heard of it. ^^

With 128mb cards you can handle most/almost any new game that is out currently, Generals will hardly be a problem. I have Halo on pc and my card has no problems with it at high graphics settings.

Baka, is that the 5700? or the 5700U? 5700 can't compete with the 9600XT ;) not in the same league.

Project, tell me brand (hercules/asus/msi/etc) and chipset (9600/9800/5600/5700/etc)

Shen, you need more than pure memory size to run games ;) it's important, but it's not the deciding factor

    depends...
4800 is older but a bit faster without Antialaising and Aniso-filtering and it's DX8
    on the other hand...
5700 is a lil bit slower but does antialaising and aniso GREAT way faster than the 4800 plus.. it's DX9+

    *sigh*
the MX440 compare to even the Ti4200 is slow... i really mean SLOW

system DDR/SDR doesn't need to be the same as the card.

for new games.. not really (9000pro)

didn't we discussed this before? or just IM me :anger2:

Video memory is actually the LEAST important factor in a video card's performance. The core clock speed and memory clock speed are much more important, as is the internal GPU architechture. Anyways, don't have time to ramble about this much right now...

Actually the fx 5900 SE is better performer the 5700 ultra, not to mention it's only 20 dollars more and if overclocked, it's spec can be close to the 5950.

And the Ti4600 can pump more out then the Ti4800 which based on the failed Ti4400 card.
