One Piece One Piece Music Video

hey i found a really cool AMV for One Piece heres the link One Piece AMV i thought it was pretty cool what do you think?

 

I'm a big AMV fan so I'll give this my honest opinion. This one isn't very good at all. The first minute is either Luffy walking or stills. The stills are just JPG wallpapers (the watermarks are still in the upper left hand corner <<; ) The same goes for the last minute. The pace he's walking or even the rate at which the images change isn't even in time with the music. The middle three minutes is all random scenes, some of which are actually re-hashed (a no-no). Like the beginning and end of the AMV nothing in the middle is in time with the music. It's a random slurry of clips taken from all over the series, with way too much pulled from the stock series opening and closing. It's a common mistake for first time AMV producers to take hold of a single scene and hold it too long and this instance is a case in point. To make matters worse the ever present Channel 11 logo in the bottom right corner really began to quirk me.

On the plus side the quality of the AMV isn't bad (which says alot for a TV rip) and the creator didn't use fancy (and at the same time distracting) photoshop effects and transitions. The only other thing going for this is the song itself. I remember listening to this alot a few years ago, but I can't remember the name or the artist. Was it by Miz Hayashibara (Megumi)? I think it was one of the Slayers openers, wasn't it?

The AMV feels like it was thrown together in the space of a few minutes. They could have done alot better.

:Edit: Looks like Onepiece1248's AMV tune was by Miz Hayashibara. The version I got ahold of isn't the same as the one in the video, but the melody and lyrics are verbatim (the one I have sounds like a remix). From what I can tell it's from 'Slayer's Next' and is called 'Give A Reason'. I would lub someone to death if they could find the info (name and artist) on the actual song in the AMV. It brings back some memories. ;~;

 

Yeah, it was Megumi Hayashibara's Give a Reason from Slayers Next. I love that song, but the video isn't the best. Sorry 1248. A good site for music videos is www.animemusicvideos.org, you'll find better stuff on there than google. It's been forever since I've browsed that site, I'll do some searching and post any good vids I find.

The You Tube link is Ok, though the sound isn't in sync with the animation and the quality is low. I recommend getting an account with www.animemusicvideos.org. They are THE hub for new and archived AMVs. Good shtuff.

There's nothing wrong with posting up things that you like. We'll give you our honest feedback is all. Hopefully you'll have better luck hunting down great AMVs in the future.

Meh, Average. Though I do like some of the transitions.

XD This one's pretty funny. The song matches One Piece almost perfect. I like it alot.

They're about average, though better than the first one you placed up. I'm keeping my eye out for more One Piece AMVs at AMV.org as well. Hopefully we'll stumble upon some gold. We've already found Sail On, ya?

:Edit: This one is different. Subtract the comedy from One Piece and add Coolio. The quality and editing isn't bad and I like the way Mindless Muse put this together. The black and white only adds to the drama effect, yesh yesh!! XD
