"Petshop of Horrors" by Matsuri Akino is quite a good read. Maybe some of you don't like femine-looking men (the petshop owner looks kinda pretty...heheh!), but the stories are pretty interesting. There are five chapters, each one about a customer who wants a pet from Count D's petshop in Chinatown. All of his pets are exotic, sometimes not what you'd expect when you ask for "a bird" for example. Whenever a character buys a pet from the shop, he/she signs a contract which states simple yet crucial rules to follow in taking care of the pet. (Things like "don't show it to anyone" or "don't feed it anything but fruits.") If the owner breaks one of the rules, the shop won't be responsible for whatever happens. Some pretty nuts stuff happens! I guess this manga (from TokyoPop) is rated about PG I guess, cuz there's a lil bit of blood/violence.

I don't know, but mostly likely the manga. I didn't even know there's an anime for it.

    Sounds interesting.

I saw the title and immediately thought of the broadway show Little Shop of Horrors. But that's another story, yes?

Yes, but they run along the same lines, with the 'contract rules' and everything, and Petshop of Horrors is acutally pretty scary.

I already knew that, since the genre for it is horror/fantasy.

I also read the Sneak Preview thing of "The pet shop of Horrors" . But I loved it and bought the first manga in Japanese. I just think that the other chapters were better than the one used in the preview (the chapter about Alice/the rabbit).
