Creative Writing Photo finish.

It's a photo finish in this race of yours,
Complete with comentary from the losers.
They may be just a little sore from placing last,
But atleast they know that you'll always choose her.

Noone tells them no til it's far too late,
It's such a sad sight when you see them cry.
And as you watch the stars with the one you love,
Perfections washed away by the tears in their eyes.

And you're so unsure of how to take it,
You know you're not right when you say you hate them.
No matter the circumstances, you're all alone.
But that girl of your dreams shouldn't see you defeated.

So don't let her down when you're so close,
Just a few more feet from the finish line.
She's there waiting with a smile on her face,
And you keep going, unwilling to let the dream die.
