I gotsa question and this seems like as good a place as any to ask it. I need to take an image and make the edges fade transparent. Anyone have any idea how to accomplish this feat? I've tried using innerglow but to no avail, and outerglow is worthless for this task.

All I need is to take the edges of said image and make them gradually fade transparent. Anyone have any ideas apart from using the soft, faded eraser tool?

copy the image to a new layer, select the whole thing, then feather the selection, invert the selection, and delete. you'll have to play with the amount of feathering and the no. of times you hit delete. that's 1 way of doing it though.
