Creative Writing Random #? [Lost count]

So you were aware when I didn't care,
Saw you're reflection in the rear view mirror and tried not to stare,
Had you on my mind when you wern't there,
Getting obsessed with the idea you're willing to share.

Had you on my mind as I struggled with time,
Late for my date, so I got back in line.
Figured you out by the end of the rhyme,
Just to have you tell me it's all been a lie.

So the catch is the warmth exuded from the storm,
Like an eye in the middle that just seemed to worm
It's way through my day like it's teasing me to learn
And trying to pin my ideals on your logic and lore.

Here's to the lesson when you seemed so far away,
All your laughing at the words I struggled to say.
Is this the type of game you're out to play?
Turn your back on all of this at the end of the day.
