    I think we need to update our anime list

    For example, there are lots of new anime shows appearing in the Animax channel, and they're non-existent in here.

    So far there are no boards for:

    Hunter x Hunter
    Ragnarok aka Mystical Sleuth Loki
    School Rumble (well this wasn't on Animax, but it's pretty popular these days)
    Wolf's rain
    Blood+
    Twelve Kingdoms
    Twin Spica (well this one's for children and I don't like it, but it's there)
    Planet Survival
    Heat guy J
    Noir (and this one's old!)
    Prince of Tennis (eeeew... well maybe this one's not a good idea :p )
    Wild Striker (Hungry Heart)

    It's like if BJP had become frozen in time. What use is going to an anime boards if they don't have the boards for the Animes I've become fan of?

    And so, they leave.
    Let's bring on the new forums, and let the public soar!

    There is an idea...

    I think we should start with posts on each. Just because Dragonball has gone up in flames.

    I wouldn't mind revisting some of the old anime I have watched.

    Wild Striker, Prince of Tennis, Twelve Kingdoms, Blood+, Hunter x Hunter. From that list.

    The small talk will probably bring in more members. Then from their the forums they deserve.

    It's give and take. A while back there was concern that overabundance of boards splintered the community. You can give more options by adding boards, but that adds to the chance of overwhelming a new visitor.

    Do these series warrant a board is the real question when all is said and done. Are they ripe for discussion, or can they be handled within a few threads in the main Anime discussion.

    I agree that some of our series titles are older and seem to be relics locked in place, but we still have had a number of recent titles that didn't really take off even when they had forums in place when the series was new - see Bleach as an example.

    No, I think we've established that the actual forum titles aren't the root cause of population decline.

    (And ee had a Noir board back when it was new by the way. It got removed from inactivity.)
