    30 secs and 166MB!? oO!

Your video must have the most glorious quality, and the sweetest sound ever to be that big. Not even actually. You should try reducing the quality, or just make it an M-PEG 4 file. Those files are usually way smaller.

I'll try to get you the page for the converter as soon as i can.

Easiest way to do it is convert it into a wmv through Windows Movie Maker, though you will lose easy compatibility if you decide to burn it to dvd later.

Elsewise you'll have to reencode it and reduce the video quality/size a fair bit.

DIVX release divx6 which includes a drag and drop encoder which really makes my encoding thread in multimedia obsolete to the nth degree...
you just click, drag, press convert and wait

I'll vouch for using Virtualdub. It's an easy yet powerful program.

    http://www.doom9.org

    go there
    learn about mpeg-4 compression
dvix6 is still far behind xvid in quality and speed
use auto gordan knot if your a newb, which you are
pick up hte ripack and codec pack
    select xvid as the codec
    and for your bitrate
go for a 2 pass of:
    3000kbps @ 1024:786
    4000kbps @ 1280:XX
    2500kbps for anything smaller
if you cna figure out how apply a slight smoother to it. that will bring compressabilty up and make the overall image nicer
if you need more help pm me
video encoding is easy once you learn
and xvid is free and open source, and fuly mpeg-4 complaint, unlike dvix-cert players, they won't play play xvid or sometimes even divx encodes because of qpel, gmc or open/closed GOPs
