You say you've read 5-7 books and yet you have to ask if it's any good?

The reason to read the manga is because the story is much better (my opionion) than anime. Sure it's the same thing, but the manga is longer than anime, and that it displays things that the anime doesn't have. The characathers have more depth and you get know some more background history about naru and keitaro. And not to mention the ending, much MUCH better than "Love Hina Again".

    Always.

Note to yourself : ALWAYS READ THE MANGA because it shows a lot of things that didn't.
By the way, this is an anime collector from Malaysia that respects Ken Akamatsu, Kazuki Takahashi and Nobuyuki Anzai A LOT.

yeah, give it a read. It seems most people end up liking it better than the anime.

There's a ton of it too, so it should last you a while (which is a good thing if you enjoy it)

You shouldn't, so not many (although there are already countless) people know the greatness of it.

So they won't experience the Hina girls growing up just as much as Naru does in the anime.

So they won't see Keitaro grow into what he wants to be.

So they won't see a lot of the cool things that the manga has.

    Note my sarcasm. ^_^

Love Hina is not "funny porn." ....Just to get that out of the way.

Anyways, I would read the manga first. But, I still think the anime is really good. Almost equal in greatness.
And if you plan to start, you should finish. The art gets better.

I think that the manga is better then the anime for the reasons that:
    1. The story is longer
    2. The characters have more depth
    3. The story moves at a good pace. (the anime moved to slowly).

    Makai,

I'm not sure what other manga you read (assuming I am understanding correctly and that it isnt 5-7 love hina volumes you have read)

Love Hina is very enjoyable easy to read and had me laughing out loud at their antics. If you are unsure just pick up the first volume and give it a try. Of the 15 differnt Manga (about 110 odd books) the 14 love hina books are without a doubt my favourite.

I'd definetly tell you to read the manga, although I can't compare it to the anime becouse I haven't seen it. I've heard a lot of people say that the manga kind of goes on a bit too long, and maybe it does a bit in places....but I didn't mind that, without it you wouldn't have been able to see the characters grow so much and I probably wouldn't have gotten attatched to any of them. I haven't read all of them, I'm onto about 13 and I really loved all of it.

The only disadvantage is the front covers >_< , I left one of them on my bed , the front cover was a picture of the girls sun bathing half naked, my mom saw it and has been giving my funny looks ever since -_- . Of corse it had to be that one, the rest aren't so bad.

Should you read the manga? That depends. Do you like seeing an annoying weirdo get beaten up by a bunch of girls? Repeatedly? Do you like full-frontal, if non-descript, female nudity? Do you have no pre-existing bias against Keitaro or any other characters? If your answer is yes to all of these, then by all means, read away!

Personally, my answers were, in no particular order: No, no, no, and I do have a pre-existing bias against Keitaro. Obviously, I didn't enjoy the manga.

Well, I think you should definetly read the manga. That's what got me into Love Hina. I only have the first 2 DVDs and the first 5 books, but I love the art, story, etc., of Love Hina. ^_^; Hope this was of help >_<;

Yes, that's the worst thing to do; leave manga with a cover like THAT where a parent could find it... >_<; But hey, my father is the one who buys me manga in the first place...

Yeah, I haven't seen MUCH of the anime... But with the part about it going on a bit too long, I've heard people say that it really finishes the story; yes, it does go longer than the anime, but it is a good thing, unlike what you said here as if it were a bad thing... >_<; Whatever. Trying to be of help once again...

Nothing to worried about the covers...hell I've got a semi nude Naru as my wallscroll and my parents, (I am chinese, you know, Chinese people and morals :p) didn't care really :)

But anyhow. The manga is worth every penny, I've got the 14 volumes and tell you what, choose the manga before the anime. You won't be dissappointed.
