    I just wondered.

In this chapter 2, at the end, Shinobu faces herself, and then looks at the arrow saying... "But the arrow says...". And we return to the beginning of the chapter, where the elders point to the dorm house... she looks at the arrow which points to the opposite direction and she follows the arrow

That made me think. Was she supersticious or something regarding arrows?

By the way, the way arrows are depicted through all the episode, i.e. the packing boxes, etc... was a very good thing - made it into some kind of art. You can't get these effects in mere pictures.

She was just following the arrows of where she was told to go. At least for that episode. See, Shinobu, she's a bit...shy in the anime. And almost the same in the manga. Plus in the anime, she's always doing what others want her to do.

    *****SPOILER*****

THe arrows at the end are pretty much what SHE wants. And it pointed to the hotel, because she wanted to stay there. She was being Shinobu for Shinobu. So, it's a growing up kind of episode.
