  1. I bought a double LP "Sound Creature" about 3 weeks ago on Ebay from
tomohare1969 in Japan. Ben had tipped off this list. Cost all of $14 (+
$8 surface mail shipping = 3 weeks). I'm sure it was cheap because he
was in Japan, didn't talk about shipping and only said something like
"Isao Tomita LP" only mentioning "Sound Creature" in the listing not the
    auction name.

Not to brag but to give people here some useful info -- So not having my
own copy I forgot to ask or confirm something (though the auction was
closing in like a day and a half when I bid). The seller mentioned the
condition of the cover, obi (paper strip around the cover) and disks.
Now from my phrasing here it that way I'm sure it's easier for you here
than me at the time to figure that I was forgetting something important.

So what is missing is the booklet which I wasn't imediately thinking was
detatched and could be lost. I had just sold on Ebay a rare Kitaro
gatefold LP with a bound in booklet.

I guess so now I have to give the guy feedback. I now can't do that
fairly unless I know if the obi mentions in Japanese there is a booklet
inside. I can't blame the guy for having to know there was a booklet in
a 1977 LP if it didn't say so prominantly on the obi strip. On the other
hand if the obi or back cover prominantly mentions there's supposed to
be a booklet included then the seller is at fault for not mentioning the
lack of a booklet. I guess I should send a scan of the obi to some
friends, don't really feel like pestering them because $22 and having
most of the album certainly isn't a real ripoff.

I've not bothered trying to figure out from advanced listings yet.
Anyone know off hand what the January 2004 Tomita and the London
Philharmonic "Tale of Genji" is? The DVD-A is pretty clear except is it
a new recording or just a DVD-A surround mix? Is the CD audio a reissue
or a remix or new recording? The only thing near certain is it's from
the same sessions given both versions are coming out.

    CDJapan says,
"Includes the theme to the NHK epic drama 'Shin Heike Monogatari.'
Recorded in 1999. Remastered edition of the album (COCQ-83482) released
    in 2000. "
