As a complete and barley relevant aside; What sort of sport `do` Spectrans enjoy?

(no doubt something that can be combined with the two main Spectran activities, religion and violence)

Possibly some kind of Spectran sacrifice lottery? Random draws to find out who's to die? It would sort of explain why they're afraid of death but put relatively little effort into avoiding it (such as refusing to dispose of missiles put through their mech's hull, being such bad shots etc...) if they think they're all in for an untimely death anyway.

Football using someones head? (optional as to whether or not it is still attached to the owners body)
