Welcome to the art forum. :D You've got an impressive display. I particularly liked the "Ink Lineart (G-Pen)" There's something about pigtails that catch my eye everytime. What tools did you use? Are these all hand drawn?

    Thanks n_n I use a G-Pen ( Sharp metal utensil dipped into

Ink [ I use Sumi Ink, cheap, solid, crisp lines ] ) sketches

with mechanical pencil 0.5 sometimes 0.7-0.9 for big things.

I rarely ever do lineart digitally, I wish to preserve organic

lines ^_^ . and yes they are all hand drawn. the inked stuff

    sketch first, then inked.

Image is huge so I made a linkie instead XD

woah. that is so. SO. cool. SEE?! i need materials like that, then maybe my drawings would look at least a BIT more professional-ish.

XD all you really need is a eraseable writting utensil,

an eraser, and some type of pigma pen / Ultra fine

Pen, like those expensive aaron brother's funky tips @_@

I just love collecting stuff XD I have like 30+ mechanical

pencils o_O and a lead set from H3-B6 even though I only

    use HB-B2 >< its just nice to have XD :D :D :D :D :D

I know what you mean when it comes to the loss of the organic look when you do it digitally. One of the old complaints with my stuff was that it lacked line variation. I've been working on fixing that for a while now. Sometimes I try inking by hand but all I usually get is a headache and a tantrum after making a mess. Makes these pics feel more impressive when I look at them because of it.

Wertitis >> Yeah I'll link future pieces XD and hallo Wertitis ~! * Salutes Wertie *

Furryb >> I know how you feel ; ; My batch of inked works

were just disasterous, ink bleeding everywhere, horrible line

weight all over but I crammed and got better at it :D

I started inking like mad after I saw this guy's art.

    http://kodama3.cool.ne.jp/

Other than his CG's its all inked with Sumi o.o

    * now uses sumi * XD

I think there was a way to do line variation in illustrator or was it

photoshop, you just apply " Apply Pressure " setting or something and I

remember it making a thin to thick to thin line, would be awesome on long

strokes :D but I forget how to do it ><

Yeah but I believe that only works with drawing tablets. Even then, I find it awkward to use my tablet that way. Using photoshop's pen tool works pretty well though, especially if you only have a mouse. It takes some getting used to though.

    ...

Wow. Just wow. I think Child of Sin has some competition now! You know, besides Ciel and all. :) These are some of the most amazing hand drawn pieces I have ever seen! They look so professional and crisp, they look amazing! God has given you a gift here dude, don't stop using it! have you ever thought of drawing your own mangas? You'd totally excell in it with the artwork I've seen you can dish out.

Dammit, Taka. Where'd you get your hands on the Cells? I didn't know you crossed over into the dark side and started using them. You should post up one of your better CG's. Those ones were always amazing. The full color ones were always badass.

Iunno. Taka's has always been more of a realistic kinda feel. While COS is (and always has been) Bizarre, Ciel has a more natural, gentler feel- Less fantasy and more reality. The both of them dont seem to use CG in it's natural, cell based sense, however they seem to prefer Watercolors and their blended style, where as Tic-Tak has always been into the clear and crisp style- the opposite end of the spectrum from water colors. COS is already enstablished, but I think if Tak keeps this up he'll slip nicely into his own little niche here.

That he will. He'll be our fantasy art pro. Ciel does take things more on the realistic side, but I like it. I need a break from fictional art and just need to enjoy the spleandors of the real world that Ciel's art brings us all. COS does bring us some interesting pieces of art. The creator of the BJP Blimp :)p) dives into total unrealistic ideas and makes them come out in a realistic way. Spare the times he does draw humans normally on people's birthdays. Welcome Tak, you'll fit in just fine. :)

Thank you kindly Shijin n_n, and Wertitis I know in real life so . . . * Back hand !!! * whats up bro :D we gotta get drunk sometime !!! ill show you some art then ! get me some paint and we'll paint buttseks allover DB n_n

Oh and I had those cells for a looooong time they were molding in my Case. I just never had the urge to Tone anything. till........... recently ! its a challenge >< if i make a mistake I cant go back. same with inking lol. you can digitally fix lines in photoshop but real tones are a one shot quick draw @_@, similar to watercolouring, teh smooth use of water levels and strokes make and break the art piece.

 I can imagine. For some of the simpler tones, you can try to fix it with a clone stamp or copy/pasting but for the gradients or mixxed tones... Thank goodness for halftone screen and pattern stamp in photoshop...
