I live in Ontario Canada. and at the moment in a city with 43,000 people. There's a BlockBuster with games to rent. Jumbo Video had games to rent too, before it went out of business. Do you live in a small town? or is it because English isn't a dominant language?

A lot of games here took forever to come cuz they needed to have a french instruction manual, it makes no sense, considering the games are in english anyways.

    Discussing Bouncer without me [IMG]?
Oh well, I guess that's what happens when I move to a redneck, white-trash, middle-of-nowhere, piece-of-sh-t, no-good, useless hick town like Strathroy where I had to wait two and a half weeks to get internet access [IMG].
Anyway, I'm gonna put the story of the game, plus the WinAmp skins from Rob's site (I made the Bouncer ones, so it's not stealing [IMG]), plus a fanart section on my site as soon as I get out of this damned job I've got here, and maybe find a better one. I'm looking for picture submissions, if there're any aspiring artists out there.

If I find time I can throw together a pic for your fanart section. Good luck with the site!

Save your money for some Final Fantasy, is my recommendation. The Bouncer is my favourite game, but I know it's not for everyone, and the plot is, admittedly, one of the more far-fetched concoctions to come out of any otherwise realistic worlds.
At any rate, you gotta admit it's worth a rental, at least.

Personally, I've found of late that I play more Gran Turismo 3 than The Bouncer. Better graphics, better gameplay, INSANELY better music ... the only thing it lacks is plot. Then again, it's a racing game, so who cares?

You shouldn't really judge a game by it's graphics ya know. I myself judge a game by it's plot and character development. If I judged games by graphics...I would have stayed away from great games such as CastleVania : Symphony of the Night and FF6, FF5, etc.

Of course everyone has their own preferences, be it Graphics, Development, Plot, Character Design, Developer and so forth...

When it comes to me, the type of game usually has bearing on what I look for...

In RPGs, I can put up with 8-bit sprites, and sometimes (in older games) some lacking plot...

In Fighting games/Arcade style I tend to want some higher level graphics and available moves...not so mcuh caring for story as much...

I never was much of a racer fan...

As for the Bouncer, it was a wild ride, but over too soon...more of a good rent than a good buy...

Hey, That Guy!, you have unwittingly decided to forsake all those driving games I thought you liked so much. When do you see character development in Smuggler's Run, and who plays Twisted Metal for the plot? And don't even get me started on fighting games. Do you play those for plot?
Me, I just pick a game based on whether or not I will enjoy playing it. Isn't that all that matters in the long run?

I think FFX is out this christmas in the US but I'm not sure.

As for The Bouncer, I loved it and would recommend it but its a bit short.
