The Hiten Mitsurugi school existed?

I mean Nobuhiro Watsuki invented it, it is some kind of legend, or was it real?

 

watsuki could have very much invented it, [or enhanced it.] but i've been doing some 'research' as you may say, but i haven't found anything leading to an original. [then again, i could never find the correct things. :sweat: ]

but as far as i know, it was all a legend.... i think?

anyway Watsuki did create Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu (Flying Heavens Honourable Sword flow) however many of the techniques within the school are based upon true techniques. the particular style of fighting is a bit odd, as most Iai or Battou schools are based around defensive sword work rather than offensive work as Kenshin often does.
