Music Contests and Games The Idea of BJP Idol

I'd say submitting them in a separate thread would be fine. After all, in the American Idol TV show, the singers don't sing in private, riht? There's a huge audience.

Besides, it'd be kinda pointless to have the contest if only three or four people are going to hear these, right?

So yeah, I'd suggest turning them in as attachments to posts in a separate thread. They could submit the name of the song they're singing, as well as the original artist, and attach the voice clip, and that should cover all the bases, I think.

 

Okay. I guess what I was getting at before was that in case there is an actual HUGE crowd of people participating, we'll do the elimination that way. Then again, maybe eve if we do, we can have the audience as well. ^_^ It'd just be an uber long contest. Haha.

Uhm...We already have three mods for the judges.

This is getting to my head. Aie! I suppose I'll make an exception for the first contest.

Is there a possibility that I moderate this category...? Or no...? I'm just wondering. I don't have to be. ^^

Actually, I think sakuma should also be a judge for this.. It'd be more fair to have a female voice in who gets picked. And also it was her idea in the first place. Unless, of course, you want to participate in it too.

I think Mamiya and I can handle moderating the forum for the moment, I'll be making a FAQ for it soon, if there's anything you need edited just PM me.

Hmmm?? Me? Judge? We've got plenty of judges already...Like five, as of now. That is, if no one is resigning.

As for moderation, that's completely fine. If you ever need help, hollar!

As for the FAQ, I'll look over it. And yes, I'll PM if I think anything needs to be edited. Though I do not think that I should/would as of now. I'm lenient about what is put on there...Especially with trustworthy people.

 

Ah yes. Sorry about that. I have no announced who can enter and who cannot.

Right now, I see it that anyone can enter the contest, including all mods, etc, even the ones who are judges. (Just that when it comes to voting, you cannot vote yourself...Heh heh heh...)

As for the "samples"...I don't know...Hmmm. We need to work on that. Aie.

I'm thinking Theme Songs. There are plenty out there, right? Or should we pick a genre?

i think the samples should be open to whatever people want to do that could show off their voices...provided its not inappropraite. just to start off anyway. ^_^

Either way, BJP Idol isn't completely similiar to American Idol.

I think Genre is better as well.

Perhaps the samples should be whatever the participant wants. And it isn't required.

Personally I never liked having it limited by genre. I think more people would be interested if you left the genre open, and let people pick any (non-offensive) song they liked.

But of course, it *is* your choice.

 

OMG!!! I SO HAVE TO GET A MIKE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS! sorry... didn't mean to shout... I love singing and i plan on going for american idol between navy and college so this is really exciting to me.

For the sample-- Any Song. Just name the song, and the original composer.

All samples will be collected within a thread that will show up sometime towards the end of the month (the next ten days, I believe), or sooner.

All Samples Must Be POSTED in THAT thread; none other. The ones that are in their own threads, will not be participating. It is so that it is unconfusing for myself, and others. So yeah.

**Sakuma-san (myself) will not take part as a judge for the first BJP Idol Contest. I am letting Coldhearted take that part.**

Why? Because there are too many judges, I think. If we add one more, there'll be seven. x__x And I don't feel as if we need that many.

When the time comes, I'll be the tie breaker. That is...If that'll be needed.
