    I suppose you can use "ganbatte" for "good luck".

    Oh, might as well add this.

    "Asobi wa owari da! Nake, sakebe, soshite shine!" as seen in my profile translates into....

    "This is the end! Cry, scream and DIE!"

    I love Yagami Iori, he's a nutcase who's almost manic in insanity. Not so much as a Kuno, Iori is just sadistic. :D

    "Ja na" I've heard been used by lots of people, male and female. I guess it's just where you came from and how you speak Japanese.

    "Omae" is a crude form of saying "I". Or "Me", whichever it is, depending on context. In terms of crudity, it goes:
    1)Watakushi
    2)Watashi
    3)Boku
    4)Omae
    With 4 being the crudest. There might be more ways of saying "I" or "me" but these are the ones I'm familiar with.

    Otomodachi also means friend, its the polite way of saying it i think "anata" = you e.g "anata wa nihonjin desu ka?" = are you japanese?

    It doesn't matter which way its spelt, It all depends on the romanji you use, or something (*big watery eyes* help me explain this, someone, please?)
    In 'desu' are you supposed to only say 'des'? 'cause I do, and now I'm not sure if thats right.
    I thought 'kazoe' was 'friend' ? :glazed:
    my word for today
    kitsune= fox
    (is that right? I read it somewhere I'm sure.)

    Okay, "arigatou" and "arigatoo" can both be considered right. Depends, really, on which text book you're reading out of.

    A-ri-ga-to-o is right because that's how it's pronounced. You lengthen "o", and in writing it in hiragana, you add a letter there to lengthen that "o" sound. However, a-ri-ga-to-u is also right because the "o" at the end actually uses a "u" character.

    I tend to stick with "arigatou" if only because it helps me remember what's supposed to be there. Well, that and that's how my sensei did it...waaaaay back last year when I was still in Japanese.

    Hai, Kitsune is fox. Although, I'm wondering whether that's fox in general, or that one legend where a fox is actually a spirit who's more powerful the more tails it has.

    My word of the day?

    "Ran" = "wild, chaotic, chaos"

    what i've learned

    yea. You're suppose to say the u but you say it soooo fast that it's like there isn't a u.

    Tomodachi is friend as far as i know. I'm sure there's more than one way to say it.

    *tries to sound like she's helping with that suggestion tone of voice* kazoku is family...
