Unexpected, perhaps. Unwelcome, perhaps not...

Well, to be totally honest this initially was an April Fools joke. I figured that even if everyone saw it coming, if I made it sound realistic enough, it would be believed.

However, I've been thinking. During my self-imposed exile I found it was quite a bit easier to stay away than I thought it'd be... in fact I didn't miss it at all. I found I had more time to spend doing things I enjoyed so much more, it feels like all the time I spend here is wasted, now.

And after a rather sobering talk with Nephilim_X, I can safely say I really am finished here. BJP is a sinking ship, and because nobody seems to care, and nobody seems to want to do anything about it, and because I'm tired of trying to bail it out.

For real this time, goodbye.

In all seriousness though it was made up mostly of half-truths, as opposed to outright lies. There is truth in much of what I said.

However, I'm not going to leave over it. I prefer to stay and solve my problems than to leave and run away from them.

Only reason it hasn't been longer than that for me is because I've only been connected at home since January 2005. Before that it was libraries et al.
