Very similar cover art!

Before today, I never saw the cover of the rare Japanese EGG label release of Vangelis' "La fete Sauvage" OST LP. It's very similar to Tomita's Japanese "Daphnis et Chloe" artwork! Same year too.

The Tomita artwork is by Hiroo Isono. If you look closely you can see the secret dedication "To Rie and Masaharu" in English painted in in the style of grass at the bottom. It's a little surprise for his daughter on her wedding.

I'll see if someone with the rare Japanese LP can find the cover art credit.

 

Oh wow, they are extremly close. Maybe they were trying to mimic the style or Hiroo Isono drew both.
