1) How did you first find out about Boards.Jp?
Searching for Inu-yasha on yahoo and I found this place.

2) How often do you visit the site?
Almost daily sometimes I just can’t get on though. So like 5 or so a week.

3) When you visit the site, where are you using a computer from (i.e. Home, work, school) ?
Home.

4) Do the homepage menu items make sense to you?
Most do. It takes a bit to figure out what podcasts and tag cloud are. Some of the links in the Links section don’t work.

5) What feature(s) of the site do you use most often?
The boards and sometimes the blogs.

6) What would you say is the best thing about BJP?
The anime talks that sometimes go on, RPG forum, the writing forum, and the people. I personnel love talking about anime, Roleplaying, and writing. I find that the diverse people here fun to chat with and enjoy making friends with many of them.

7) What would you say is the worst thing about BJP?
Not enough anime talk. When “big” things happen in an anime that should be popular or once was popular no one talks about it. What Sasuke (from Naruto) did in chapter 334 there was no one but me wanting to chat about it. It was a BIG thing. A really big thing. When the saddest thing happened in One Piece there was still no body to talk about it.

Also too many forums. I am not too fond of the Closed and Inactive part. I think all the anime or manga should be put back into the actually anime or manga forum.

8) Do you feel BJP rules are fair and enforced fairly, or are there rules or restrictions you don't agree with?
I think they are fair. And if the need be they do get changed.

9) What is it about this site that you would most like to see improved?
Trimming the forums. And maybe for the blogs power user as of late not to many use them as much.

10) What changes or additional features would you recommend for this site?
Newsletter, Anime information, whatever happened to the torrents?, being one the main search engine (when I searched to Inu-yasha forum there was nothing in the first 3 pages from boards.jp).

11) Would you recommend the site to a friend? Why or why not?
Yeah I would. Interest in anime.

6 it is a little much but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty easy.

1) How did you first find out about Boards.Jp?
I was looking for something on anime in Ireland and one of the sites i came across had a link.

2) How often do you visit the site?
Everyday, usually about 4-5 times a day to see whats up.

I don't really have any problems with it.

5) What feature(s) of the site do you use most often?
I always use the New Posts feature, and i'm glad that the option to view the last updated threads over the last 24 options was added, as sometimes when i was looking at PM's it would cause all the new posts to disappear, which made looking for new posts more teadious.

6) What would you say is the best thing about BJP?
The staff and the people, i really enjoy the wide varity of people, their culture and their history.

7) What would you say is the worst thing about BJP?
Since things have started to slow down over the last few months, people don't really get together for a really good chat anymore. Another thing that can annoy me is if you're writing in you're blog and you take to long you're asked to sign in again when you try to post. (like whats just happening when i try to post this, i know it must be an idle thing, but its a bit annoying)

Yes, rules are their for a areason and if their not enforced then whats the point?

9) What is it about this site that you would most like to see improved?
The only thing i can really think of is getting more people to chat and be active, and i know this is really out of the Admins control, its the members that have to help on this one.

I can't really think of anything for this one.

If i had any friends that were actually intersted in anime and other things that are on the site then i definatly would, but since thats not the case then no, cause i know they would just spam the place.

When it became such after M2A. No seriously, I found out about the site in general from three former members I went to high school with, back when they were still members and we were still in high school.

2) How often do you visit the site?
On occasion. I try to once a day.

Technically, home and school.

They seem to.

Forums. I make a small use of the journal system, but it's rare.

I'm no good with objectivity.

I think they're fair and make sense. So far, I've not had a problem with them.

Not really sure. I think I'd like to see more real discussion, but I'm kind of out of the loop with what's recent and don't much like what's popular.

I don't know that I would use any additional features, but I'm not very creative at the moment.

11) Would you recommend the site to a friend? Why or why not?
Honestly, right now, I wouldn't unless I were really thinking about it. I wouldn't dis-recommend the site, either; it just generally doesn't come up in discussion with people. I'm fairly multi-faceted; anime, while high on my list, isn't the only thing I'm about. As such, my friends are very varied; very few would actually find any use in this site for that reason.

12, I can't really answer for the same reasons as 6 and 7.

Well, me and Alchemy_Dude were talking about the forums we posted on, and we each sorta agreed to post on each other's forums.

Once a day. I get bored REALLY easily.

Home, usually, but sometimes school. Again, I get bored REALLY easily.

Just the forum so far. Haven't really looked around much yet.

The inactivity. The other forum I'm on has like a hundred posts a day, this has maybe 10.

They look pretty fair to me. Standard be nice stuff.

Again, new, haven't looked around much.

I would, because a lot of my friends really love anime and stuff, and this seems to be the place for it, and with an awesome group of people to boot.

the subscription abilities as well as the whos online feature

The community and diversity as well as the rpg's!

Balance... theres something I feel to be unbalanced here whether it be from what genres we cover to anything else it feels like something is missing; I have yet to discover what... (maybe people :sweat: ?)

8) Do you feel BJP rules are fair and enforced fairly, or are there rules or restrictions you don't agree with? Extremely Fair and logical

9) What is it about this site that you would most like to see improved?
Hmm the community and accessibilty of the community. The connection between people on BJP is what makes BJP, BJP. If it were not for that connection and the relationships between the users then there would be no BJP. People here thrive on the people they interact with on BJP. It gives more variety and a great source for friendships as well as controversey (in the personal sense that is). BJP creates an environment different from other forums and I think thats why BJP is still here. I think making improvements on the ability to communicate between users will greatly increase activity as well as boost new users and bring back the BJP we always knew.

10) What changes or additional features would you recommend for this site?
Easier accessability to chat servers or maybe even hosted forums (in the gathering form of the word).

11) Would you recommend the site to a friend? Why or why not?
Of course; it has more to offer then most other similar sites out there and I believe it is worth their time.

I was looking stuff up on how to fly, seriously, and I came across something in the DBZ forum and immediately signed up.

Once, if not twice a day. More on the weekends.

Home, can't login at school for some reason.

The quick search and My Posts. make's it easy to get where I've been if I want to go back.

The people and the fact they have the same interests as me. Also, the fact I can talk about anime and never get any weird looks form anyone.

The lack of posting has gotten really bad. Some of the forums are rarely even used anymore. Also, sometimes I can't even get to the website.

Definately doing something about the Closed and Inactive section. All it does is take up space and is very unattractive, I feel.

Through google actually. I was looking for an 'anime debate' to do in debate class actually and somehow google gave me this. ;

2) How often do you visit the site?
It used to be once a day...then became once a week. This is actually probably my first visit in two weeks. (Gaia and LJ consume me, sorry!)

3) When you visit the site, where are you using a computer from (i.e. Home, work, school) ?
Home and school.

Relatively so, yes.

The posting feature. XP Seriously, I don't usually use anything else.

Good friends and nice people and what used to be interesting and fun threads.

The inactivity as of late and lack of interest in anime, but those aren't really things the site can help can it?
I've lately come to the conclusion at the 64x64 avatars suck. XP

I'd say we're fair.

9) What is it about this site that you would most like to see improved?
At the moment avatars. Sure we can ask, why does a newbie want a custom avatar? But then we can also turn the question around and ask 'why can't we let them have a custom avatar? What is so sacred about it?' Also the size of them. Not many places use 64x64 anymore, they're pretty much all 100x100. 100x100 allows for much more personal expression. 100x100 are easier to get now too, thanks to the wonderful people who make gorgeous icons at livejournal.

10) What changes or additional features would you recommend for this site?
100x100 icons! If we're iffy about letting non-power users have custom avs, perhaps we can instead let 64x64 customs allowed at first, but once the member reaches power user they can use 100x100 (which IS possible on vBullentin. I've seen it done :3)

Probably not because my friends are psycho and each time I do they end up causing trouble or leaving anyways. -.- But if I had sane friends, yes.

Certain Mods scare me... not going to say any names...I feel the most approachable Mods are Basher, FR and Zanza. I've been here four years and have just warmed up to Basher.

 

I am for it. We can get people who know the language. Granted manga would be easier. Just look up symbols. hehe
