    What was the first anime u have seen?

    For me..the first anime i have ever seen was Lady Oscar (Rose of Versailes)
    Its still my favorite [​IMG]

    lol..my first sub I think was Guyver.
    of course there was the dubbed anime brought over I watched when I was younger.

    My first was my sister watching Sailor Moon on TV...I remember making fun of her for watching "Japanese Shows"... Now look at me...

    First Sub? Hmmm...I think it was Guyver...not sure...

    Well, for myself I suppose it was Ulysses 31, used to love that when I was a kid, dunno if its classed anime tho. Then there was the mysterous cities of gold. Then a few years ago I saw Akira on channel 4, and that was it until this time last year, when I cam across Sailor Moon on Fox Kids. Damn fine show [​IMG]

    So in the last year I have been mostly watching Sailor Moon, Bubble Gum crises 2040, Cowboy Bepob, Outlaw Star, Angel Links, Neon Genesis Evagelion, Street Fighter 2 along with all the usual films.

    At the moment I'm trying to find a copy of Battle angle on DVD, and will be buying KITE when they release the directors cut version in feb of next year.

    Needless to say, I'm hooked now [​IMG]

    ooh I can't really remember the name of the anime, but all I can say that it was about a little girl, Reen..

    Brief Summary:
    Her father had a wife, that died , and a daughter called Sarah. She has trouble fitting in with her sister Sarah; and her grand father doesn't approve of her as his grand daughter. Any ways the family later on suffers from shortages in funding. SO Ren joins the horse race at the end, wins money, and proves to her grandfather that she was a true aristrocrat after all.

    Real Retro Anime from Japan

    Now that I think of it... I think I was an otaku from childhood... I mean the first cartoons I saw when I was 6 where all anime...

    There are several I remeber:
    -Iga No Kabamaru (kabamaru and Hayate: a very hilarious ninja anime)
    -Rose of Versailles
    -Hello Spank(a dog w/ a toast shaped head hehe ^^)
    -Tokemeki Tonight / Throbbing Tonight - Ranzi (A vampire girl anime, a really funny, one of my favorites, she turns into the exact replaca of anything she bites)
    -Voltron
    -Sanshiro
    - Lady Georgie (shoujo)
    - Lady Lady (Shoujo)
    These are just my favorites, but I'm sure there were alooooooot of anime at that time, but I didn't relize what they were...

    The first anime I saw was ( [​IMG])Astroboy( [​IMG]). It was followed by Transformers and Thundercats, both of which I loved. I used to have a pile of Thundercats merchandise, which I wish I still had. It's probably worth quite a bit of cash nowadays. Of course, I didn't know what anime was at the time, mind you. I was only three years old, so throw me a frickin' bone here!
    The first anime I saw, knowing what anime was, is Dragonball (and not Cartoon Network's dub, but an older one I've only ever seen on YTV). That was the first anime that I consciously liked. It was followed by Sailor Moon, then Dragonball Z.
    That's about when I first saw anime anywhere other than on TV, starting with Street Fighter 2, and followed by Akira, and then Ninja Scroll a few years later.
    Somewhere in the mix I saw all those pulp-ish animes that are everywhere these days, but enough out of me. I'll shut up now.

    The first anime i ever saw was
    Transformers and the first subbed let me think guyver i think!

    Mine was transformers dubbed, then the ronin warriors. and there was one other anime I did watch, the name escapes me, but it was a mecha style anime. I only remember bits and pieces of the story. The show came on at a rather strange time, 9:00AM Sunday morning on channel 51 (KUSI), in southern California.
    After that I stopped watching, then channel 6 (FOX) had the kiddy version of Escaflone, and that brought me back to animes.

    Oh yaaaaaaaaa..I remember Ranzi the vampire girl! That was really hilarious anime [​IMG] I remember that if she bits something (ex: an apple) she turns to an apple ... I totaly have forgotten about it.

    I also remember the anime series it was called Ninja ....

    If transformers counts, I guess that was it.

    Otherwise, my first was Akira (surprise) First series I really saw was Ranma½.

    Mine was Lady Oscar (Rose of Versailes) too, but I don't remember it very well untill I saw it again last year ... :p
    But the anime that I remember very well was Detective Conan.. :)

    My First was the original Dragon Ball wayyyyyy back in like 1989-1990...
    I dont remember what channel it ws on but it was about 4 ocklock in the morning...

    All i saw when i turned TV on was little Gokuu blowing up Bulma's car.

    I was like "DUDE!!!" ot whatever the 5 year old equivalent is

    heehee hello kitty!its japanese!jk i saw lots of anime movies when scifi did saturday anime...i miss that so...but i really didnt understand it i was so young,so i think really it would be dbz yup anywayz

    i first saw sailor moon.... i was obsessed with it-- but i was like in grade 2....
    the first anime that was subbed that i watched was ranma 1/2 hehehe

    Lol, it was pretty good. But after that it was (in the order I saw them) : DragonballZ, **Digimon**, Gundam Wing, Escaflowne and then...well, then I forget the order...

    - Mahootsukai Sarii (dubbed in French, no less!)
    - Alps no shoujo Heidi
    - Battle of the Planets (finally got to see the original Gatchaman this year)
