Video Games What's your favourite Video Game Soundtrack?

We all play games, right? Of course, otherwise you wouldn't be in the 'Games' Forum would you?XD

So, while we play the game, there's always a song or something to help the game. Main theme, ending theme, or just gamplay theme. It's always there to make the game experience better, well, they're supposed to at least.

So it's preety simple, what is your favourite Soundtrack on a Video Game? The game can range from the beggining of games, up until now!

All the Silent Hill games, and Devil May Cry 3.

 

all the tony hawk games.

 

Socom 3:US Navy Seals is by far the best video game score altogether. Almost everysingle song is great, and fits in!

Also, Kingodm Hearts, and Star Wars Battlefront 2, even if it's all just ripped off the movies, it's nice to hear the songs mixed together!^^

I would probably say all of the Tony Hawk games or FFX. I loved the TH soundtrack because it has so many great songs of that time. FFX just had, well, great songs! Plus I love all of Nobuo Uematsu's work.

Edit: I forgot the Mario games. Mario music = <3

 

Megaman 1,2,3 and Any of th X's with the exception of X2. All those soundtracks are catchy, rhythmic and stellar. Nevermind Wiley's Castle, even the no name ones still rock pretty hard (Flame man from MM6- yay!). Mega Man X is my personal fave tho.

Final Fantasy Tactics is my all time favorite for music. Radiata Stories is making a close second and seems to be getting closer every time I hear the songs. I guess I just have a thing for music that sounds very orchestrated.

 

Shining Force 1, Vay, Warsong 2, and Phantasy Star 4 all have kickass soundtracks.

Is it any coincidence they were all made for Sega systems? :3

 

FF7, Just about anything from it, especially Aries Theme and the Cozmo Canyon Theme

 

Kingdom Hearts & Final Fantasy X
I just love the song Zanarkand(or however you spell it). I've been trying to play it on the piano but it's not as good as it is in the beginning.

 

Don't forget bitpop from the old atari / C64 games. That's some good music.

 

Well if we're going to be like that then Tetris.

Actually I loved the Tetris music.

 

Pac-Man! THAT'S some good old music! No theme cooler than the starting theme. There's not that many songs, but they were catchy!

Ah the days! Four directional buttons (some only two), and an A and B button, with great songs.

The halo2 soundtrack was pretty good, since I probably heard any other videogame soundtrack, besides the songs that I hear when I play the game...

...still either way...

 

the kingdom hearts and kingdom hearts 2 soundtracks are both amazing. and if you have the means or the money i highly recommend picking up both of the black mages albums.

Halo 2...not the OST cd, but the soundtrack in the game. Combine that with Halo's and Marty O' Donell did a hell of a job!
