Seems like I've been getting more and more of those BJP error screens lately- the white ones that tell you there's been an error and to either refresh or contact the tech specialists (which just so happens to be Cloud's e-mail addy here). It doesn't matter which computer I use I always get the same screen.

As anyone else been getting more of these?

You mean the DataBase error? Yeah, especially after when Cloud upgraded the gallery, which lasted for a long time, a whole day maybe.. :/

It happens a lot more on BJP than it really should, I think. One or two is liveable, but to bring BJP down for a day or two at a time?

Judging from my knowledge of vB, I imagine some hack that Cloud has installed is causing the problem. Ideally it shouldn't happen at all, and it wouldn't on a base vBulletin installation.

If I were Cloud I'd hate to be getting the thousands of emails it likely generates. o.o

I have been getting a few in the last week or two, but i think it only happens when the site or something in the site is being upgraded. Other then that you don't really see it that much.

I don't believe so. vBulletin itself doesn't go offline when you upgrade it (though some functions might not work until it's done) and any plugins or patches shouldn't take down the whole site like that...

I s'pose only Cloud can answer that though, if anyone.

I've started getting them more frequently as well. And my Journal Index isn't around no more. I dont' really know how to make off the circumstance other then that it tick me off >.>, But if it's due to a hack could it be the time hack that has started some of the issues or any other hack:confused:

I'm getting the white screen constantly at the home page. It will just show the top toolbar, but the rest of the page will be blank. Hopefully this can be fixed, BJP doesn't look good with a plain white homepage. ;)

The home page loads fine for me. Try hitting ctrl+F5 and see if that helps.

I notice Cloud upgraded to vB 3.5.4, he probably reverted the navbar template, and that's why the Journal isn't appearing there anymore.

...It's amusing how much I can infer about Cloud's doings on the admin panel, I must say. :D

I can say with a fair amount of certainty though that the database errors, (which are what this thread is about) is the negative result of a hack that he's installed. I couldn't tell you which hack could be doing it, but if it's bringing BJP down then perhaps it's time for it to go...

One thing I noticed it was when Cloud made a change. Like adding new mods, adding forums, and etc. I don't know much about vB but could that also be why?

It's definately a possibility- perhaps if whatever he did caused data to be incorrectly inserted into the database... I don't see why it would cause day-long errors, though.

And I don't see how any admin panel action could cause database errors, either...

Rags, shame on you. You know anything is possible with the Internet! :p Since my last post I have been getting no more white homepages, although BJP seems to be running a tad bit slower than usual. Maybe it's something with the server being too busy, but I'm not sure. Heck, maybe it's my Internet provider. :D

I consider vBulletin software to be one of the few things I can count on on the internet. :p

I haven't noticed any kind of a slowdown myself, but who can say? Without a doubt BJP is slower than other vB forums I'm a member of...

Sorry about the WPoD's - the reason was that we ran out of disk space on the server, too many Apache server logs! I've zipped and cleared some space, so should be okay now...

Thanks so much Cloud! Kind of off topic, but when I look at the forums I mod, it appears like so:

    Moderates:
    HMod: <a href=/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=219>IGPX</a>

    Help?

I've been seeing that a lot latly from all the mods. Nameless is doing that same thing and it seems that your are too, Orion. I don't much about this at all but I could guess that tha hyperlink for it is messing up. But that's my guess and I don't really know much about this ^_^.

I know exactly what the problem is, but I don't know how to fix it (and am unable to anyway :p) as it requires an arbitrary SQL statement, that I'm half hoping I can get Cloud to PM to me. :3
